Love Handles Food DriveJanuary 31, 2010 - Join Shop'n Save, 106.5 the Arch and GCS Credit Union as we support St. Louis metropolitan area food pantries. Stop in your local Shop'n Save and look for the "Love Handles" display near the check out lanes. Last year Shop'n Save customers donated more than 1700 bags of food to food banks serving families in the St. Louis area. Please support this very worthy cause and help us set a new record of generosity this February. Shop 'n Save and The Big Dawg are going ALL IN for Special OlympicsJANUARY 7, 2010 - Shop 'n Save is teaming up with 92.3 WIL's very own Big Dawg Bo Matthew's for his second annual Big Dawg Poker Bash to benefit both Special Olympics - Missouri and Shield 24/7. After the sold out success of last year, the venue had to be moved to Meramec Arnold Elk Lodge, MO #2372 to accommodate up to 300 Texas Hold'em enthusiasts. This Poker event will take place on Saturday, February 20th. Your $60 entry fee will earn you free food, drinks and poker. Doors open at 3:30pm and the Big Dawg's Game begins at 5pm. Shop 'n Save "Goes Polar" for Special OlympicsDecember 22, 2009 - Shop 'n Save and Prairie Farms are teaming up to once again get to freezing for a really great reason on February 6, 2010. they'll be supporting Special Olympics- Missouri with their annual Polar Bear Plunge at Lake Saint Louise in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. Last years' event raised $131,000 and saw 632 brave men and women, while dressed in full costume, take the plunge into Lake Saint Louise. This year they plan to shatter that record. How can you get involved? You can be Polar and take the plunge by registering today. At minimum you need to be 14 years of age or older and raise at least $75 by the date of the event. If you raise $75 you'll receive a new Polar Plunge shirt. There are even "cooler" awards for those who raise $300, $500 or $1,000 or more. Special awards are presented for the top three frundraising individuals, top fundraising shcool, top fundriaising law enforcement agency and of course the legendary golden plunger to the best costumes.
