CHICKEN CACCIATORE

in a Slow Cooker

Serves : 6 servings

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 24 ounce jar Essential Everyday Tomato, Garlic & Onion Pasta Sauce
  • 2 14.5 ounce cans Essential Everyday Sliced Stewed Tomatoes With Oregano, Garlic & Basil undrained
  • 2 cans Essential Everyday Chicken Broth
  • 1 8 ounce package sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups chopped green bell peppers
  • 1 1/2 cups Essential Everyday Long Grain White Rice
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs

DIRECTIONS

In a 5-quart or larger slow cooker, combine pasta sauce, tomatoes, chicken broth, mushrooms, peppers, rice and onions.

Add chicken into rice mixture, being sure to cover chicken.

Cook on HIGH 4-6 hours or LOW 8-10 hours or until rice is tender.
